Body Revolution v Insanity

Hi Everyone,

I was thinking of purchasing either Jillian Michaels body Revolution or Insanity but I cannot decide between the two! What would you all recommend?

I am also wondering about the meal plans for both, I am a vegetarian so I was wondering if the meal plans would be suitable for me?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

  • hi,
I've just started doing INSANITY for the second time,it's brill!!you need to be fairly fit to start with, take's some doing, but if your focused the rewards are good.
also I'm vegetarian myself and it's not been a problem.make sure you get plenty of protein, egg whites, cottage cheese, fish etc.the carbs and good fats are just as important though.

I like JM workouts but insanity is a whole new level of crazy! You can see an improvement in strength and endurance so quickly! and the inches do come off. The first month workouts are 45 minutes or so and month 2 is about 60 mins. I think revolution is only about 30-40 mins which is why most people prefer it.

Personally, I would always choose insanity as I love the workouts! I run as well, and do insanity 2-3 times a week for cross training. The meal plan is good, but I don't follow it to a tee, occasionally I will use the recipes from it. I

if you're a beginner, i would start with JM dvd and then work your way up to insanity. insanity isn't for beginners so use JM to tone your body and get your fitness level up and then do insanity.

I had this question too. Thanks for the helpful answers! I, too, am going to go with Jillian first and Insanity later.
