I have been undereating by 500 calories and found out from scoobysworkshop according to my height, age, weight and activity level and to lose 15% body fat. I am to eat 1,504 calories. I am kinda of nervous about this but I know it will be better for me. today is my first day doing this. I do have a lot of supportive friends I always have room for more. I am taking a class to deal with my undereating and focus on eating properly and getting well.

I do! This has been a struggle for me, too. If you look at my profile, you'll see that for about 8 months I was under-eating, based on my workout schedule (weights + marathon training). The plateau was too much and I fell off the wagon for a few months. I'm back, though, and committed to eating more - even more than 1,500 some days (trying to net by BMR on workout days). It's tough, though...for so long it was ingrained in my head: "eat 1,200 calories...if you're at a deficit, even better!" Eating 1,500+ calories is easy when I'm eating unhealthy food, but if I'm trying to put nutritious fuel in my body, I sometimes struggle because it's so far away from what I *thought* I knew to be the right approach. I'm eating more snacks and that's helped a lot.
Feel free to add me. Good luck!0 -
I eat at 1500 calories. Well I at least try my hardest to do it because eating healthier makes it harder for me to reach my calorie goal. I never eat under 1300 calories though and always eat back my exercise calories. You can add me if you like.0

I eat a little more than you, around 1700 but feel free to add me! I follow scooby's too (TDEE-20%).0

Hey guys! Eager to loose this weight!0

My calorie goal is 1500. I had plateaued at 1200 and didn't find it sustainable and realistic for long term.0

I'm at 1500 and I also eat back my exercise calories. I average a 1lb/week loss.0

I usually eat between 1450 - 1550 calories a day. I used the calorie deficit calculator at http://www.fitwatch.com/qkcalc/caloriedeficitcalculator.php to find out how many calories I should eat based on my height, weight, age and lifestyle. I have been doing this for 2 weeks and have averaged a 1.5 lbs weight loss both weeks. Prior, I had been at 1270 calories and I was constantly hungry and obsessing about food. Now, I am satisfied. I am going to continue with this for a while.0

Lately I've been burning 400-900calories a day from working out to a 60min-95min cardio class from turbo Fire. So I try to intake 1400-1750calories a day to keep my body energetic and strong. Along with drinking 10+glasses of water a day. You guys are welcome to add me too!0

I started out at 1500, but I plateaued, so I bought a BodyMedia and got a more accurate picture of my daily burn. Now I am eating closer to 1800 (it changes daily depending on what the BodyMedia says) and I've started losing again. Plus I get to have wine again. :bigsmile:0
