Back in 2008 I was almost killed by a careless and speeding semi driver, I was in the hospital for about 2 months and had hip surgery to repair a broken hip. The surgeon did not give much hope of walking but I stopped using my wheel chair in 2012 losing the first part of my weight. I got to were I could walk normal....but TODAY, I ran my first full mile without slowing or stopping! I now have set a goal to get to where I can run a 3k!

    That is awesome! I know that took a lot of hard work and discipline. I fractured my hip almost 3 years ago and had to have a rod put in. Recovery was hard and I am trying to do cardio 5 days a week but have never even thought about trying to run! That is so inspiring! Congratulations to you and happy running!
