Red Bull hindering fitness goals?

Hello. I'm new to myfitnesspal, and I have a terrible Red Bull habit. I usually drink two to three 8.4 oz cans each day. Each can contains 80mg caffeine and 27g of sugar (28g of Carbs). My weight is good, 113 lbs at 5'4", and I'm a 19 y.o., full-time college student that had a baby back in November. However, I have a pear shaped body with some saddlebags and 35" hips. I have a feeling, though, that the Red Bull habit is keeping me from reaching a better lower half. Here is a typical day of my diet:

Breakfast: one Red Bull

Lunch (whenever I get back from school): egg white omelet with two slices of chesse and some Ragu sauce melted in the middle, and a Red Bull

Few hours later/Dinner: one protein bar, 190 calories or 210 cal Balance bar, (or a piece of 35 cal wheat bread with some peanut butter) and a Red Bull

Then, I do some Brazil Butt Lift workouts and jump on my mini-trampoline for about thirty minutes. No matter what though, the outer thighs/butt (and part of the inner thighs) doesn't seem to budge much. I really don't want to lose much more weight, because my collarbone is VERY prominent along with my ribcage. But, do you think this Red Bull habit is affecting my lower body? If it is, how am I supposed to stop? I've tried in the past and couldn't give it up without sweating profusely each night and having terrible headaches.

Is that literally all you eat?
How much protein are you getting a day? Fat? Carbs?

And yes, you need to kick back some of that red bull. If you must have red bull, go get the no carb sugar free version.

Based on what you wrote that you eat in a day the Red Bull is not harming your goals.. your diet is.

You barely eat. I would say you aren't even consuming 500 calories in a day.

Your problem is your diet which is causing you to lose a lot of muscle.

You need to eat and fuel your body.

I honestly don't know how much of each I'm getting of each per day.

I try to eat lots of protein since I've heard it builds muscle, but want to watch my cholesterol, so that's why I usually choose whites over eggs. The Balance bars claim to have 40% Carbs/30% fat/30% protein for a balanced meal. I don't have one on me right now to see exact content of each (in g/mg each, etc.), though. I am slender, but want to improve my bottom half. My top half looks very skinny. My belly is flat, but not toned. It is due to having a child four months ago and not doing abdominal/lower back exercises. My bottom half is thin, with a couple of problem areas, but not bony like my top half. I want to slim it and shape it, and build muscle for the top half. I drink two to three bottles of water or more while I workout. However, wouldn't the sugar-free version Red Bull be worse? They have the sweeteners in them that are said to be linked to harmful things for your body.

I know I don't eat very much. I say the extra 110 cal per can is what keeps me above 500 cals a day. But I am new to this. I have lost all of my pregnancy weight, plus a couple pounds more. Now, I just need to know how to consume a good diet, hopefully with a little Red Bull, and help my problem areas. Should I aim for more carbs or protein? I am a student, so I do a lot of sitting, both in-class and for homework. But I usually get between 35 to 65 minutes of exercise/workouts per day.

To but it bluntly: You are starving yourself. Your muscles are slowly wasting away and you need to eat more protein and a balance of real food that will provide you with adequate nutrition. You are very lucky if you haven't developed any heart or other organ problems. It may sound counter intuitive, but you if want that cute little toned body you speak of you need to eat more. Probably 3 times as much as you're eating now. NOT Power Bars. Real food! Feel free to PM me and I'll be happy to help you set up a good diet, if you truly want the help. Just make sure you get help somewhere and change your eating habits. You WILL end up sick if you continue on this way.

Edit: Yes, you are drinking too much Red Bull. Even for someone with an otherwise healthy diet. I'm not saying you shouldn't drink it at all but it really isn't good for you and it can keep you from reaching your goals. You are working out every day just to burn off the sugar calories from the Red Bull. You don't have enough protein in your diet to build the muscle you need to look toned.

I don't think the Red Bull is hindering your lower body shape. But too much of anything isn't good. If you want to cut back on the red bull do it gradually. Cut back to two a day so you don't get the caffine headaches and then you can drop to one a day in a week. I drink them on occasion but limit it to one small can. It used to be a daily habbit but now I'll drink 2-3 a week. Lower body is always a little more work, and it's what I hate to work the most but will give you the greatest return for your efforts. Lunges, Squats and lots of cardio (prefferably something you enjoy) will help. I agree with everyone else though, I don't think you are eating enough.

    Yes.

A protein bar is not a meal. The problem areas are not going to go away by eating this way. Those will only be aided by toning exercises, which will have to be fueled by additional calories anyway, calories from lean protein sources and real food. Protein bars are fine in additional to real food, not in place of.

You are not eating enough. You have no weight to lose. You are basically under the ideal weight for your height.
You need to eat enough to maintain weight, plus additional calories to fuel the toning exercises you would be doing.

STOP drinking all of that Red Bull. Either drink the sugar free version, or the no carb/no sugar version. And knock it down to 1-2 a day for sure. To answer your Q about those being worse for you - the sugar free versions cannot be any worse than the regular ones. They're all bad.
