Feeling alone in process

I've had weight highs and lows that seem to follow my emotional highs and lows through out my life since my early teens. Now almost in my 30's I finally "get it" that it's not just about being "thin" but being healthy. Being over weight and depressed doesn't have to just happen or let myself give up. I hope for and believe that the happiness I want to find with my body and self will begin when I start to really follow through. But I feel really alone starting this journey / process. Like I start off self motivated but it doesn't last long enough to get results. So I decided to check out the community on myfitnesspal with the intention of giving and getting support, motivation. And just knowing I'm not alone!
I have a great fiance who accepts me at any weight. But I don't get the same support or understanding I need.

Feel free to add me! I got married just a little under a year ago. I know the wedding motivation quite well!
Edited to add - and I understand your desire to be FIT and not just THIN. When someone asked me if I was going to keep off my "wedding weight" that I'd lost, I just looked at her. This wasn't for my wedding... it was for my LIFE. The wedding was a nice vain motivator to keep me from giving up. :-)0 -
It's nice that your fiance accepts you at face value, but the important thing is that you accept yourself as well. MFP has been really helpful to me in losing my weight. I log on every day for my diary and also check in with friends I've made along the way. Be patient and do what is necessary. I would be glad to be your friend.0
