Blood Type-Stomach acid

I came across blood type diets a little while back.. I just thought it was some weird fad or something.. until I actually looked into my blood type. I'm ab+.. and it says that I should avoid chicken and beef. 2 of the meats we always have in the house. I love chicken! I love it cooked all kinds of ways.

The only reason I am even considering cutting it out is because I have always noticed digestive issues. Especially after eating meat..

If there is any one else out there with similar issues, how do you deal with them? I'm cutting WAY back on grains and pastas and such.. for a while at least. I don't want to cut out our main protein source.. and buying separate meats for myself will get expensive.

I make sure I get plenty of fiber, I use supplements if necessary and I take a probiotic every morning.

*I considered grapefruits, and the juice... but I am on the pill and apparently they don't mix well.

Thanks =)

    There's really not much truth to the blood type diet. But if you notice digestive issues after eating particular foods, you should consider changes based on this. Perhaps you need to cut it out? Or perhaps instead, a digestive enzyme supplement or betaine HCL would be what you need to help with digestion. Experiment and see how you feel.

    All I can really find are lists of 'what to avoid' 'not allowed' 'most beneficial' 'eat this if family history of breast cancer'.....

    So Yes. I too see BS flags. The concept is pretty interesting though..
