Losing too fast???

Hello! I'm new to the MFP program. Started about 10 days ago. 5'5 started out at 175#. Today weighed in at 168. Doing Zumba 20 minute express at least 5 mornings a week and daily farm chores. Averaging a little less than 1400 calories a day but not feeling like I am starving myself at all. I am concerned that the honeymoon will soon be over and I will get discouraged again. For now the weight loss is keeping me very motivated. Thoughts?

Did you set your activity level to moderately active or very active, depending in the extent of your farm chores? 1400 with your activity level seems very low! I eat 1500 and I work a desk job!

A for the weight loss, anything can happen in the first couple of weeks, you just need to make sure you are being healthy and it will level off.

I set my activity level at sedentary as I also sit all day. Farm chores are not that strenuous. We have a small hobby farm. Chores takes about 30 mintes a day, that's all. Thanks for the info!!

I would set your activity level to at least lightly active. Most are not really sedentary. Also, are you eating back your exercise calories?

When you first lose weight you lose a lot in the first week or two. This is normally due to the large amount of water weight you will lose at first due to change of diet and exercise.

DOn't get discouraged if your losses slow down or even if you don't lose on eweek. Just remember that weight loss is not linear and you won't lose each and every week.
