Why this plateau?

Hey all,
I have been logging for 60 days. Initial weight was 183 pounds with an estimated maintenance of around 2150 cals.
Goal is to lose 31 pounds to reach 154 pounds. At a rate of 2 pounds a week, I have been given a daily calorie goal of 1240.
I have followed this more or less to the calorie, and lost 2 pounds a week for the first 7 weeks. Due to injury and hectic work schedule I did no exercise during these weeks.
However I now seem to have hit a slight plateau. But I'm not sure why.
Over the last 10 days I have managed to get back into my gym routine which is around 4-5 hours of spinning, body pump & body combat a week.
So...is the plateau a sign of the inevitable slow down of weight loss - particularly as I have only a stone to lose?
Or do I need to up my calories to reflect a slower weekly weight loss goal?
Or is it due to high levels of water intake?
Or is it due to small muscle growth? (Despite the weight staying the same, my body fat decreased by 0.4kg according to the electronic scales at the gym over a period of a week)
Or all of these combined. What should I do? Advice very welcome
p.s I know similar posts will have been made before but after all this is a weight loss help forum, and I need help! Thanks x

It's likely that since you're back in the gym, your recovering muscles are holding back more water. In a few days, when your body is ready, you'll see a difference.
I would, however, suggest upping those calories slightly.0 -
you are eating too little, and expecting too much.
2lbs a week is not a realistic goal if you want to lose a total of 31lbs.
also, having lost 2lbs a week for as long as you have, it's expected your body will slow down and try to hang onto the fat it's got left.
eat more.

Are you eating back your exercise calories?0

Thanks for the replies .
I do eat back exercise calories - maybe not on the same day but generally over the week.
Also I have just upped my cals to 1400 in an attempt to be more realistic in losing a bit more weight.0 -
