Guidance

I am severe need of guidance. I have lost sight of my goal for weight loss at this time and I feel like my life is consumed by everything else. I work 50 hours a week, I am a full time student, a mom, a wife, and the list goes on. I need ideas and help on how to get back in the swing of things. I am so disappoint in myself. My schedule is as follows. I already feel like I never sleep..I need ideas on how to fit in working out and sheesh any ideas on healthy crockpot meals will help!

Wake-Up 7am
Class 8-11 am (Mon-Fri)
Try to Nap 11:30am-1pm
Pick Son Up from Head start 1-2pm
Work 2:45-11:15pm
Sleep 1:30-7:00am
STUDY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE ANATOMY FOR NURSING IS EVIL

You asked for it but I have a feeling you are just wanting to vent.

You clearly need more sleep. I think if I were getting off work when you do I would be hitting the sack sooner out of exhaustion.

Your self talk needs work. Probably because your life is out of balance. You made some choices that you need to remind yourself why you are going to school FT, working a 50 hr week job on top of what is really important in your life.

The quality of our lives is a factor of the decisions we make. You could choose to lighten up on your school load, work PT or suck it up and gut it out for a couple more years and then you won't have school anymore.

Life is short and your son will be grown and gone before you know it. If you have never read anything about Voluntary Simplicity, I'd recommend it highly.

Finally, cut yourself some slack. Understand your circumstances are what they are because you chose them. If it is not working for you choose again.
    Shalom,

Hi and welcome. First and most important thing: Relax :) I know to many of us weight loss seems like a hard military style training is always needed but in reality, its not so hard

Eat properly (not too little, not too much). Try NOT to avoid eating junk food because trying to do so will make you get off the track. Eat SOME junk food so you can have the yummies while filling up your tummy with other yummy, healthy and more filling foods

Do you walk around a lot. When I was in college, I used to walk around a lot. Get a pedometer (for like $5) and track how many miles you walk. You will be surprised. I was walking 5k easily, daily after some effort.

Try some calisthenics at home. Like before bed or some other time you see fitting. You can even do it once a week on your day off for like 30 minutes. That is fine for starters and with this you will see an increase in your energy and will be able to do more and more often. Try pushups, squats, lunges etc. Heres a routine I used to use if you wanna try it.

But the MAIN thing is your diet. Your DIET is what will make or break the weight loss and heres the good news, you don't have to be overly restrictive with what you eat. Try this thread for some more info

    Good luck :)
