how to calculate activity level

How should I calculate working on cars? My normal job is sedentary but a few times a week I am in the shop working on cars. I know it's giving me some sort of work out cause I'm sore afterwards but I'm not sure how to account for it.

Sore doesn't = "got a work out". Honestly, I wouldn't count it at all, unless your HR is really up high over a period of time. If you feel extra hungry after, maybe tack on an extra 100-200 calories for that day, but I wouldn't log it as exercise or adjust your base activity level. Just chalk it up to a "bonus".

That is why I didn't list it as exercise, but if you are going from a sedentary job to one like working on cars your calorie's are going to change. I don't want to modify my activity setting since it is not a consistent thing for me.
