Am I under eating?

So I've been trying to lose weight for a while now, and for the past week or so I just started the cutting calories technique.
What I've done is pretty much eliminate some of my carbs ( I'll eat some fruit, have oatmeal or fiber one cereal for breakfast, and I cliff granola bar once in a while). I also and eating lower calorie meals with lots of vegetables. At first I was hungry and had a little bit of a headache, but now I'm fine. I'm not even that hungry anymore. I'm also exercising for 35-45 minutes a day. I have dropped 3 pounds since then.
Recently its been hard trying to eat 1200 calories, and I'm eating 800. I feel like I eat a good amount but its many non calorie dense foods.
My concern is that my BMR will drop and I will gain weight if I continue to eat 1200 or less calories. I now its only been a bit longer than a week, but I really want to lose this weight.

(also FYI, reason why I want to lose this weight right now is that I'll be taking a trip to Korea in two months and I want to look better than I do now. I have about 30 lbs to lose, but I only expect to lose about 6 lbs or so til then.)

    Yes, you're under-eating but from your post you know that.

    you are supposed to be dieting ,not starving. If you keep this up I'm afraid you will make yourself ill.Diet sensibly ,the weight will come off in time.Good luck and enjoy your holiday .

    Korea won't be fun when you pass out from all of the walking because you starved your body. In seriousness, eat.

    Hey, you need to eat to lose weight!

    If you don't your body will go into starvation mode and you won't lose anything.
    Don't deprive yourself of anything, you can eat everything in moderation. You need to be eating 1200 calories minimum
    to lose weight.
