Success so far... down 50 pounds

I started my weight loss journey the summer of 2010. I knew I had gained a lot of weight but the huge slap in the face was when I was planning on sky diving while visiting an old friend. We had to go hot air ballooning instead because I was right at the weight limit for sky diving and couldn't imagine going to the class and then being turned away because of my weight in front of everyone.

In the fall of 2011 I started a new job and moved 3 states away. With the stress of starting a new life on my own just after graduating college, I gained some of the weight back. Realizing I was headed back to where I started, I got motivated to lose weight again and took these before pictures.

Then I started dating someone and became even more motivated to lead a healthy life style. He was a runner and I was trying to be so it was a great way for us to get even closer. I knew he was the one and so I wanted to get down to my goal weight by the wedding. When he proposed and we started planning the date I new that wouldn't happen with the time frame so my new goal was 165 by the wedding. The wedding is just over 2 weeks away and I only have 2 more pounds to lose!! I KNOW I can do it! I am currently at the lowest weight since I can remember.

I forgot to take a front picture. Oops
lowest weight! 167!!
I still have at least 25 pounds more to go but I thought it was time for me to share part of my journey. I wish my wedding pictures could be my final pictures but I guess they will just be a big part of my journey to the healthiest me I can be. Keep up all your hard work. It may take a while (took me close to 2 years to lose 50 pounds) but it will be worth it in the end!!!
