Beyond Frustrated

Hello everyone. I need some support and help. At my last weigh in which was 3 weeks ago today I lost 4.2 pounds. Tonight is my next weigh in so I jumped on the scale this morning and it has me gaining 6 pounds since my last weight in!!!! I may have had one or two days in there where I didn't eat my best but 6 pounds!!! I know my diary is private so I will tell you I typically eat Special K cereal and a banana for breakfast, a turkey sandwich on wheat, orange, baked chips, and jello for lunch. Snacks are typically pretzels and a Special K bar , and then a good dinner. I run about 4.miles a day and then typically do a turo fire workout as well. I have probably taken off working out about 2 days in the last 3 weeks. I did go out one night where I had a couple captain Morgan's with diet coke but I still cannot imagine what could have caused a 6 pound gain, I am beyond frustrated. I lost 40 pounds doing weight watchers a couple years back and now I am just trying to lose the 10 I gained back. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Are you tracking inches? Maybe it's muscle mass you've gained and not fat?

Were you under or over your calories for the week? TOM? Lot of salt leading to water retention?

    This!

I gained back 2 pounds and was stuck there for a month, but by the end of the month my body had rearranged to the point I was down 2 pants sizes (well, one but I should have been in an 18, was forcing the 16's and now I'm comfortably in 14s.)

measuring the inches can help you not get frustrated.

Also, water retention. I refuse to weigh in when TOM is in town....

I thought about the muscle thing as well but I was told Turbo Fire is not a muscle building workout. I was within my calories all week, maybe even under. It is my TOM but even at that..... 6 pounds is a lot!!!

I can gain 4-6lbs during my TOM. I would wait until after it's over and weigh yourself again. Also, even though Turbo fire isn't a "muscle building workout" that doesn't mean that your body composition isn't changing. Lean muscle is an awesome thing!

Thanks for your help. What are everyone's thoughts on "starvation mode"? Do you think I am not eating enough calories?

Mandie it is all about cals in and cals out and exercise...if you choose to keep your diary private I understand that, but you can not expect to get constructive advice based on the information you have given.

If you open your diary, you will get it pulled apart, for sure, for the simple reason that nobody`s diary is perfect to anybody else.

But, the question you are looking for others to answer is very difficult, just my 2 cents

As for starvation mode, again, nobody knows what you eat (but I doubt you are starving)!
