Best Frozen Desert You've Ever Had?

I was thinking Ice Cream, but I wanted to include gelato for my personal favorite.
Mine's got as much to do with time and place as the gelato.
A hot late July afternoon in Rome. Lemon gelato at a street side place near the Colosseum.
So hot and tired, I thought I'd found the best cold treat in the world.

Well..I've never had a frozen "desert" but I DO like ice cream a lot.0

Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream. It has extra fat and it's awesome.
I hate the fake garbage that people are always peddling, like anyone could ever truly improve on real ice cream.0 -
I was about 8 or 9 and I helped my grandpa pack, and turn in all the bottles that had accumulated in his basement over the winter months (he took them back once a year)
the trip to the depot was hot and dusty and I was in the back of the truck with the bottles and my brother....
once we turned the bottles in, he bought each of us a maple walnut ice cream cone. It was so HOT and dusty...that cone tasted like pure heaven and sugar....
I've been looking for that taste since and not once have I found it...0 -

YoGo Crazy Yogurt! Do you have one near you? It's fun, tasty, and a heck of lot healthier than ColdStone.0

it was this ginormous piece of chocolate s'mores pie that I think had an ice cream base, fluff (or some sort of marshmallow covering) and a graham cracker crust.
Oh. My. LORD.0 -
These are some of my favorites.........
I get the Banana Splits but not the cactus.
And now I have the Banana Splits song going through my head.
Thank you.:grumble:0 -

What a great story! Somehow I suspect that you will never find maple walnut as perfect as you remember...0 -
Mile High Ice Cream Pie...there are over 1,900 calories in one slice. Suffice it to say when I order it, I get it go and eat a few spoonfuls a day till its gone.0

The coconut frozen yogurt at my local Froyo Zone. I top it with slivered almonds, dark chocolate chips and toasted coconut. I am completely addicted. It's a very serious problem.0

I don't like it as much. Too fatty lol0 -
@OP - There are too many to choose from:
1. Chocolate Gellato - much denser than ice cream.
2. Frozen Custard , Shake Shack in Manhattan. Higher butterfat than ice cream.
3. Hawaiian Shave Ice, Waiola Shave Ice - finer than snow cones. Ice cream center with yummy syrup.
4. Snow Ice, Snow Factory - Flavored Ice shavings. Similar to Shave Ice, but they used a flavored ice block.0 -
The single best would be the hazelnut gelato I had at Fontana di Trevi in Roma.
Stateside, Blue Bell Dutch Chocolate. Or a good frozen yogurt shop where you add your own toppings!0 -
