What would this exercise be?

I went over on calories today, so I walked in place for 30 minutes at a leisurely pace, lifting my knees and powering my arms. Would that be general aerobics or low impact?

id call it low impact. general usually involves more vigorous movements than one would describe by walking.0

I think you just discovered something new!! Call it something cool, and since it's your discovery you get to decide how many calories it burns!0

I like this idea! I may just call it "marching in place" and figure out some calories for it.0 -
I took low impact aerobics and walkiing at a slow pace, added them together and divided by two. I figure it burns more than just walking, because I'm lifting my knees and powering my arms. That puts it at 140 calories for 30 minutes. I call it "Marching in place, lifting knees, powering arms" in case anyone ever wants to use it.0

I think there actually is an entry for walking in place, otherwise I would just enter it under walking.0

low impact long as you are moving with your arms moving. Keep your blood evelated so that your burning calories. long as you sweat its good. It sounds like leslie sanstone workout. its low impact keep it up0
