Hi All, My name is Alexia and after a week of tracking my caloriesand getting familiar with the site, I am ready to start! I will be looking to the message boards for lots of encouragement as I'm really good at quitting. Been trying to lose the same weight-now 30 lbs- since my son was born 8 yrs ago. 1.5 years ago I lost 25lbs and have managed to keep off 20, but really need to lose that other 30lbs. I am a huge night time eater so any tips anyone might have would be very much appreciated.

Cheers:smile:

I was also a big night time eater and a breakfast skipper. I am trying to eat more in the early parts of the day, some days I am better than others at this. I find that if I am much fuller earlier in the day there is just no room left late at night. I found it very challenging at first, I was just stuffing healthy food into my face even though I wasn't hungry, but you do adjust and I rarely find myself overeating at night (last night was a setback but that is because I wasn't following my own advice enough)

Good luck and feel free to add me if you want a support buddy :)
  • If you are a big night time eater (like me), then plan to eat more at night. I eat REALLY light during the day...sometimes I don't even eat breakfast, because I either wake up too late, or am not hungry. I always look forward to dinner though! I love cooking, and all my roommates are gone, and my boyfriend, but I'm still cooking for myself! So plan your dinners, and make sure you eat enough, so you don't want to munch later! And if you think you'll munch later..only eat half of your sides for dinner, then save the other half for a little later!

Awesome. Taking the first step is the biggest, I hear.

I get really hungry in the afternoon and evenings. I've been at this for a month now, and I think I'm still getting adjusted. I find myself going to bed earlier so I don't have to be hungry as long.
