I understand that I need one of these to properly measure my calories burned during exercise. Does the price matter? Are they all similar? I am looking at a cheap wrist one. Do they work just as well? Opinions please !?!?!?!

Polar is the best. You should always opt for one with a chest strap. They measure MUCH more accurately. Wrist ones are pretty bad. Amazon always has them for MUCH less. I love my Polar FT4. Worth EVERY penny.

The more things that the monitor does the higher the price will be. I'm using the Polar FT4 to measure calories burned per workout and it works out fine for my needs.

I have a MIO without a chest strap. I hate chest straps. It is fairly accurate as far as I can tell. I know how to take my own, so when I am at rest I can match them up. My treadmill has one and it actually matches up with the MIO when I am running.
I got it at Sports Chalet. I couldn't wait to find one online, I had little patience that day.
It was about $60? and Pink.
