halp! anybody!

Hi all!

I am so lost lately. I need advice from anyone that has gone through this or knows how to help.
I have lost 35 pounds cutting calories and occassionally running. I am now underweight according to my bmi, which was not my plan, but I still have a body fat percentage of 26%. Not healthy. I definitely have a lot of fat on my body. Probably not much muscle. But my question is, how do I eat now? Do I raise my calories? what types of food should I eat? (Vegan btw.) what type of exercising should i do? I don't want to keep losing weight, I just want to lose fat. I would perfer to gain weight actually, but how do I not gain fat too?
Sorry for the long post. I am just so confused.
Any help is much appreciated.

Lift weights. Put them down. Repeat.

;) Obviously joking a bit, but I think that might be your answer.. you need to up your calories to support your workouts, especially protein and work the weights or something similar (not as much cardio).. The idea is to add muscle while still lowering fat. that will increase your weight in a healthy way.
