I work third shift 10pm to 6am. Any advice about eating at night.

I work 11 to 7.
Some days if I am low on calories I will bring a 'meal' to work. other days I snack all night on low cal/low fat healthy choices.
I normally go right to sleep once I get home, I wake up and eat something for breakfast around 1/2 ish and then I eat dinner with the family.
I have thought about cutting out my food intake at work, but I don't think I'd EVER reach my calories goals that way0 -

I work 9pm to 7am 4 nights a week. My food choices are not different from when I worked first shift 5 years ago. The only difference is the time of day/night that I am eating. Don't associate certain foods with certain times of the day. I have omelets at 4pm because that's when I wake up. I have "dinner" in mid-morning around 3am. As long as you get your calorie and macro goals, it matters not when you do it.0 -
I try to space out my eating, but its difficult wien there's downtime.
It really comes down to will power, and unfortunately I'm lacking in that department.0 -
Im exactly the same way .... after I get off in the morning I drink a slimfast shake now because I find im a little hungry but I dont want to eat a meal then ho to bed0

I usually have to bring a lot of small snacks in addition to my 'lunch' that I eat at 0200. I find myself eating almost every 2 hrs. I try to eat something before I leave and then I usually have to top myself off with my last snack of the night around 2200. I take fruits, string cheese, crackers, nuts, veggies.
I try to pre-measure and pack it all up in the mornings for the next night when I get home from the previous night. Im usually stuck being awake for a few hrs after I get off shift getting kids off to school and starting dinner for that evening anyway. And I keep a pre-measured baggie of mixed nuts in my purse for emergency calories.0 -
IM THE SAME WAY. I WRK FROM 11-8 FOUR NITES OUTTA DA WEEK. I BRING MY LAST MEAL 2 WRK WITH ME & EAT DAT AROUND 12-1 O'CLOCK. I SNACK ON HEALTHY SNACKS UNTIL ABT 3. PRE-MEASURED MIXED NUTS, WHEAT THINS WITH LAUGHING COW CHEESE, FRUIT & VEGGIES PLUS LOTS OF WATER. I WILL DRINK 4 CUPS B4 I GO 2 BED. WHEN I GET HOME N DA MRNG I USUALLY SHOWER, WIND DOWN WITH A LIL TV & GO 2 SLEEP UNTIL AT LEAST 2P.M. I GET UP EAT, PLAN OUT MEALS & SNACKS THEN WRKOUT. IT WRKS FA ME. WEN I GET OFF ON SUNDAY MRNGS @ 8 I GO 2 CHURCH & JUX ENJOY DA REST OF MY DAYZ UNTIL I KUM BACK WEDNESDAY NITE @ 11.0
