From 2002 to 2004 lost over 130 pounds. Since I have scales that went over 350 pounds I had no way of knowing my starting weight. I just know after a couple of months of trying I saw a scale that went over 400 pounds and I was at 395. So I know I was above 400 when I started. This accomplished by doing Low-Carb, following the Atkin's plan.

After 2004 I stayed at 270 for a while then started yo-yo'ing between 270 to 340 for a few years.

June 1, 2011 I weighed 334 pounds, I decided I had had enough and wanted to get down to below 200 pounds. I was tired of how hard it was to find nice clothes for work. I was hoping the weight loss would help with a possible promotion (which now there is no way it will happen) and I wanted to be in better shape for the bedroom (wink).

So I started doing Low-Carb once again but this time my own plan. I found several low-carb groups on Facebook that gave great tips and a whole bunch of recipes so I wouldn't get bored with food. In Sept 2011 I joined a gym. I started walking, then walking/jogging. Then walking/jogging/bike/elliptical until May 2012. Then we had problems at work and I lost interest in the gym but luckily stayed on the Low-carb plan.

By June 1 2012 I weighed 191 pounds and made it past my goal of 200. I had told myself if I got down to 200, I would start weight lifting. So I forced myself back to the gym and have been hitting the weights. 3 times a week with weights and 2 times a week cardio.

July 1 2012 I weighed 184, 150 POUNDS LOST!!! I am trying not to drop any more weight and maintain 185 while I continue to work with weights. If I gain it's not a big deal as long as it not a gain in pants size.

*******

Now it has been almost 9 months since I hit the 150 pound weight loss. I have changed my eating a little bit. I still do low carb but I have reduced the amount of fat I eat and replaced it with more protein. I do weights 5 to 6 times a week and try to get in at least an hour of Cardio in 4 to 5 times a week.

After almost 2 years of doing low carb I find it is much easier to stick to my WOE. I don’t crave sugary food as bad as when I first started and being at goal I know if I occasionally indulge that it won’t ruin me as long as I get right back to eating the way I have been.

This is how my weight loss progressed over time...

    Thanks...

The shirt is one of the many SciFi/Super Hero shirts I work out in. I will admit I am a nerd/geek and not afraid to show it at the gym. LOL
