Well i have added this page on my facebook but finally getting to the actually website. I am pretty much desperate to lose weight and I am hoping that I can follow my routine by writing everything down and visually seeing it. I am also hoping to encourage and encourage others that are struggling with losing weight and getting healthy. I know that is a long and hard struggle. Looking forward to what the future will bring

Best wishes with your weight loss! I only found this place after I got an i-phone and was able to input everything I drank and ate into MFP as I did it, quite shocking when I found out just how much I had been eating before I started mind - I nearly passed out with amazement :laugh:0 -
MFP is a great place to start working on your goals. Just take it one step at a time and know that all of us are working hard to get to our individual goals and that you aren't alone. Feel free to friend me, if you like and best wishes.0

Congratulations on your first step in changing your life!
Nutritionists will always tell you to keep a food diary. I always thought it was too time consuming and tried every diet out there. Always had some success, but ALWAYS gained the weight back. I came full circle when I bought an iTouch (cheaper than a month of Nutri-System) and found MFP. Keeping a diary is now easy and quick.
In the past I always wanted results NOW! But my most important break-thru was learning to be patient with dropping pounds. Day to day my weight goes up and down. Some weeks I don't lose anything no matter how good I am. But in general, I weight a little less every month, and that is progress in my eyes. I personally don't set date goals, I just take it one day at a time.
I wish you the best of success in losing weight, and remember, well all have our off days. Dont' freak out, keep on going and allow yourself a treat from time to time.. You deserve it!0
