New to Fitness pal....

  • I have been using Fitness pal since November 14 from the advice of a friend. I started losing weight on November 14th and have never felt better. To date I have lost 68 pounds with my initial goin to 88 pounds. I have now set a goal to lose 100 by July 4th. This site has been great for someone who has never posted or blogged anything. My question is Cardio vs. Strenght training. I have only done cardio up to this point.

    @mpmartin92 - You need to incorporate some form of weight training in your regimen. Not to enter a Mr. America contest. Muscle burns fat and muscle gives you definition. Congrats on what you have done so far. Wow!
  • Thanks! My goal has always been to get under 300 pounds and I can see the finish line. I just want to make sure I am doing everything right and losing the most possible weight I can. I have a torn achilles heel and have been limited since january to just the excercise bike, of which I am very burned out on. I feel i could lose more and keep my motivation, but not being able to use the treadmill or eliptical has been a set back. I have thought to visit a doctor to make sure i am doing everything right, but thought I would turn to this site first. I really Appreciat the feed back...

    I used fitness pal about a year ago but not often but decided to get back on here I'm wanting to get healthy & lose a few pounds, I enjoy the support & motivation from other ladies my age going through the same things, great site, love it.
