    - A couple fruits (usually cantaloupe, nectarines, kiwis, and lots of berries)
    - Lots of vegetables (bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, roma tomatoes, romaine lettuce, baby spinach, kale, carrots, celery, beets, purple onion, and garlic)
    - A couple cans of flavoured tuna (my little vice)
    - Bulk nuts and seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, pine nuts, almonds, walnuts, and pecans)
    - Extra virgin olive oil or organic virgin coconut oil
    - Cheese (cheddar and parmesan)
    - Omega 3 eggs
    - Extra lean ground beef, pork tenderloin, chicken breast, chicken drumsticks, sirloin steak, frozen tilapia/haddock, and bacon!
    - Herbal tea and the occasional coconut water
    - Dark chocolate
    - Greek yogurt
    - Coconut milk

You must be eating a primal diet! ;-) My list looks pretty much the same without the fishy stuff (can't stomach fish.)

We also have cottage cheese and string cheese. Lots of bacon, but no breads at all. Beans once in a while in a soup.

Mine varies a bit, since I like to cook a lot of ethnic foods, but my "staples" for lazy weekdays are as follows:

    Bananas
    Almond Butter
    Wheat Bread
    Berries
    Almonds/Nuts
    Celery
Cheese- usually pepperjack or sharp cheddar
    Cottage Cheese
    Soy AND Almond milk
    Coffee and Tea (Loose Leaf!)
    Eggs
    Onion/Garlic
    Canned Tuna
Greek Yogurt- Big plain, little flavored
    Kefir

@ OP: I almost always eat a lot of fat. I like olive oil, coconut oil, nuts/seeds, and avocado or hummus for healthy fats.

Is there a Natural Grocers or Sprouts nearby? They have a ton of great healthy foods and are generally less expensive than whole foods. You can find new products and the people are really friendly and can help give you ideas if you don't know how to cook something. Try quinoa instead of pasta. There are a ton of great quinoa recipes that are healthier takes on pasta dishes, and it is packed with protein. Hope this helps!
