Workout routines?

Hi everybody!
So I'm not completely new to working out, but I really want to get on a workout routine that will help me lose weight and tone up. Does anyone have any good routines that I could try out?

Do some research on DVDs or join a gym and take classes. That's what works best for me. I take 2 classes on average, sometimes 3.

I'm a fan of the Nike Training club app, its a free app on my iphone. I do 2-3/wk in addition to cardio classes like spin, kickboxing at the gym. They really kick your butt and get you into shape!
  • I am a huge fan of pinterest and I also have a workout board. It is a great site especially if you want to use it for creating and developing your own workout routines. Here is a link to one of the routines that I found on their site! Hope you think it is useful.

  • I started working out years ago by running. Sure I could only run 1 mile a day but eventually and over time I was able to work my way up to a 1/2 marathon. As some time passed I introduced P90X into my routine and it really transformed the way that I work out. I helped me tone my body and help my midsection (I had twins) so it was strong again. Today I am doing P90X2 and loving it!! I have never been so in shape, have energy and strong. Anyhow, not sure where you are with your fitness level but if your starting out then take it slow....work your way up to it and then go for it!! :) Hope that helps!

Have you tried www.fitnessblender.com? They have more than a hundred free, straightforward workout videos. They give each one a difficulty rating of 1-5. They are all designed to be done at home with little or no equipment needed (and they offer alternatives if you don't have what is required). They give an estimated calorie burn. They show you how to do each exercise and then they talk you through it. Times range from 5 minutes up to 60 (maybe more on a couple of the advanced ones). I LOVE them! Oh, and did I mention, they are all free!

A mix of cardio and strength training is best.
