I couldn't eat my cheat meal

I've been dieting seriously for only a week with fitness pal eating low calories foods every single day. Today I decided since I did so well, I'd have a cheat meal. Well i had the usual at jack in the box. An ultimate cheeseburger meal with large fries and a coke and a 20 piece nugget. A couple weeks ago, I would've been able to down almost this entire meal no problem. Now? After only a week or so of dieting, I could only eat half the burger and a few nuggets. And I didn't feel satisfied one bit. Wow. Amazing how much things can change in a week.

I think I'm still gonna have a cheat meal, but it'll be once every 2 weeks and not fast food. Either home made food or a nice restaurant. I seriously felt sick afterwards. Weirdest thing. I drove to work right after eating thinking "I liked eating my low calorie meals better than this crap"

And feeling that way...made me so glad I started fitness pal. Made me realize I used to overeat way too much and now I'm on the right track. 4 lbs down in a week baby!

Don't get me wrong because I love Jack In the Box burgers, great for a hangover, but all that grease is what left you feeling ill. Stick with less grease filled cheat meals every so often and you will feel much better about it. Great job not eating all of the meal, that sounds like a lot of food.

Once I developed the habit of eating healthy, it became pretty easy. Making the transition wasn't always easy, but when I look back, I realize I've come a long way!

Definintely the grease (notice I did not say fat). Since we have been eating healthier this past year, we notice the difference now when we eat at his parents house. Usually we eat just enough to be polite or until they aren't looking anymore. Between the grease and the salt we just can't do it anymore. It's crazy what we used to be able to tolerate and how far we've come.

Great job for leaving half of it!!! And congratulations on the weight loss as well!! I use intermittent cheat days to control cravings - a little of what you like will not kill you. More recently I have found that the need for a cheat day has gone down and I am able to fit that little something into my daily calories.

Great job! Its nice to be able to figure out early in the journey that cheat meals aren't as exciting as we want them to be once we have them. And you are just cheating yourself when its not satisfying. I had that experience with a big mac not long ago.....very disappointed and I was still hungry! Congrats on the 4lbs as well!
