trading clothes

I saw one of my friends have gone down an incredible 100lbs plus. What an amazing woman she is. She is now wearing a size Large - which for those of us who has always had to shop the plus size stores, I find her at a size incredible. Just amazing.

It got me thinking, what happens to all the clothes we shrink out of? How does everyone afford to get new clothes? I have lost almost 25lbs, and I desire new clothes but do not want to the money. I want to save my clothes money for when I lose more weight.

So, I was thinking wouldn't be great if could set up something MFP that would allow members to trade clothes as they outgrow theirs? I would happily send my jeans in great condition to someone who has lost weight and needs smaller clothes. I have no idea how to make this work, but it just seems like there is a lot of clothes out there that people are putting in boxes, donating, throwing away, etc. And yet, I would love to have a few items of clothes that fit better than my baggy saggy jeans that are almost 2 sizes too big. If I paid only paid shipping, I would happily get new clothes.

If anyone has any ideas, I would love to see if this project could work. Thoughts?

I've often thought the same thing. I just try to find a friend or a friend of a friend who can use the things I shrink out of. It's a great concept though!

While right now I'm still wearing some of my higher up clothes I do have some that I can do this with. Size 22 capri's and a few 3x shirts. I already got rid of my 5x stuff but no one here wants 5x anyways cause we are all doing wonderful. I'm just now in size 20 and by the time summer gets here the size 22 capri's will be to big. I do have some 22 dresses too. We could post pics of the stuff so others can see....great idea and paypal is a wonderful way to pay, just type in gift and the persons email(if they have a paypal account) and wham they get paid and saying it's a gift will get you out of fees :)
