HI my name is David I am 39 years old and 1 1/2 years ago I had triple bypass surgery. I have never eaten healthy I was always the guy that ordered a double or a triple burger with 5 different kinds of cheese and bragged about it. The DR's told me I had a major heart attack a few years back and I never new. They tell me I have a disorder that makes cholesterol build up in my artery's faster then the normal man.

1 month ago my 64 year old dad had a heart attack and the same surgery

ITS WAY PAST TIME FOR A CHANGE!

I have a 16 year old, a 2 year old and a wife of 11 years. I want to get healthy and watch my kids grow up. I want to grow old with my wonderful wife.

My dad just bought a treadmill and we have started walking together. I am eating great and am HIGHLY motivated.

I am 5'10 and 230 pounds.
I am NOT athletic.

My Ultimate goal weight is 160
My short term goal is 200
I want to be able to run a 5k this time next year. (I might try couch to 5k?)

I really am just posting this so I can maybe meet some people who will help me stay motivated.

Anyone up for a 30 pound weigh loss challenge?
