I'm having problems meeting the requirements set - seem to be eating more protein and not enough carbs and am not even making my calorie intake on some days - any suggestions for what to each that doesn't add the extra sugars and proteins. Any tips would be appreciated.

MFP's protein setting is really low. I manually adjusted mine because I'm weight training to 1 gram per pound of LBM. I would not be concerned about going over.
You do need to eat up to your calorie allowance. Add things like full fat dairy, avocado, and nuts/nut butters.0 -
Thanks - just couldn't seem to make the right choices - will take your advise for fillers and see how I do.0

Nuts. Almonds are my favorite
They have lots of heathy fats and can definitely get your calories up there for ya.
Avocados. Nuff said.
Not to mention, both of those are excellent sources of good fiber and potassium, and also no sodium0
