    Here's a link to Dr Oz....small changes can make a big difference. If you don't like ground turkey...don't eat it, eat the beef you want (just leaner) . I found more little helpful hints in this artical I think I'm going to use. Hummus and sour cream vs butter and sour cream etc...Hope it helps!

    I prefer ground turkey for some recipes but I consider it more of an alternatve than a replacement.

    Mixing ground meats works fine as long as mix them well which means they work better in meatloafs and or meatballs where they become bonded together and the slow cooking mingles the flavors more fully.

    If you really want that turkey to taste more like beef though I'd suggest mixing in beef bouillon or possibly even a packet of instant brown gravy mix.

    Last week I experimented with making a box of beef stroganoff hamburger helper using ground chicken and was disappointed the brown gravy removed all the unique flavor of the chicken and I'd might as well have made it with beef.

    There are benefits to learning to like a wider variety of food the biggest being it helps you appreciate specific flavors more fully and secondly it helps keep your digestive tract active as it adapts to different compositions of nutrients.

    I'm not sure if you US peeps have an equivilent but I use a beef or lamb stock cube (Knorr or OXO) and crumble that into the browning turkey- it completely works and makes it taste beefy/lamby and only adds about 20 extra calories.
    This is a great idea!

    I frankly only use ground turkey when I'm crumbling it and using it in a recipe. My husband doesn't "like" it (which means he THINKS he doesn't like it because he's never had just ground turkey). I don't notice a taste difference and neither does my husband when I substitute it out without telling him(!) and I'm not really sure I'd mind, in any case.

    I actually never used to mind the taste of ground turkey, but recently I've just not been liking ground turkey in anything - as the base of sauces, etc. There's just some off taste that I don't enjoy. Thanks for the tip on the bouillon cube though, I'm going to try that next time since I do run into sales on the 93/7 (buy one get one free) so I've got a freezer full of ground turkey to use up!
