Working out while having a head cold, good idea?

Got stuffy head and slight raw throat and a pocket full of tissues, but otherwise feel good. Should I exercise today or put it off?

My opinion...if you feel up to it, give it a try. Only you and your body will know if it works for you. Good luck!

I agree with sugboog. If you think you'll be ok, give it a shot. But, don't feel bad if you have to stop early or go lighter. Just listen to your body and see how you feel.

I'm going to be of zero help and give you conflicting info.

My SO says that working out with a cold actually makes him feel better. I say he's crazy. He says it helps clear things up and energizes him. I would think that doing anything that makes it harder to breathe while I'm already having difficulty breathing is insane.

I suppose it depends on whether you're more like my SO or more like me.

I had an awful cold with sore throat a few weeks ago but I still went to the gym and swimming. It did feel harder to work out but I felt good for exercising.

Just listen to your body and don't overdo things if you do decide to exercise.
