I am so frustrated I am feeling rage! I can't contain it anymore and don't understand what is going on.

I've been easy going so far, but the last 3 days my disposition has completely changed.

Ok, deep breath, I'll try to tell my story.

So about two weeks ago I was 148 (I logged 149 because I don't record the new weight until I weigh in at it for at least 3 days).

Than I stalled and than the weight began to come up.

149. 150. 151. I took it in stride as "water weight" and "plateau". I was expecting it. But after more than a week of consistent 151 I started to get irritated. And now I am beyond that! I am running about 40 minutes almost every freaking day and log every 1/3 of a carrot. I SHOULD NOT BE GAINING!!!!!!!! I just should not be, it is not physically possible. (and before you ask, I was consistently at 148-149 for about a week and a half before this %^& happened. . I have not eaten a calorie surplus. I don't freaking get this!

  • After reading your diary, I have to say good job logging! Maybe try to boost up the protein and go low carb - it really helped me during my last 3 month long plateau! Good luck, and keep doing the right thing :)

Have you just started exercising? If so, the muscles could be retaining water in an effort to recover/rebuild. I too usually gain weight when I first start/resume an exercise regime.

Also, be sure to watch sodium (can't remember what yours was). One meal higher in sodium can make me gain almost a pound overnight.

Keep going-- don't fly into a rage just yet!

I've been exercising for about 2 months now. And my diet did not drastically change, so sodium should be roughly the same.

    Hmmmmmmm.....
2-3 lbs higher for a week...
    Rage...

    ....PMS?

I bet you are retaining water, PMS or not.... I bet if you watch your sodium today and drink a ton of water, you will see a difference tomorrow.

(I use that trick every Thursday to help ensure a decent weigh-in on Friday)

Good luck. And don't forget that our bodies fluctuate and because of that we're not supposed to weigh every day. (But I do that too....I just don't log it except for once a week....)
