I can't remember the last time I had a pair of jeans that really fit. Since menopause a lot of my weight has settled in my waist. In order to get jeans that fit in the waist they are too baggie in the butt. I won't wear elastic waist pants unless they are attached to yoga pants. I also need tall jeans because I like them long. I can't wear skinny jeans because my knees & calves are too big. I have found jeans that fit perfect everywhere only to find they are too tight in the legs. Any suggestions?

Look for jeans made of stretch denim. Really helps get a good fit.

Maurice's has always had decent long jeans. They have multiple styles so I'm sure you could probably find some that fit.
They have the denim house parties too and those seem to fit great as well.

I'm in the same boat! Tommy Hilfiger has a really nice "original boot cut" with a little bit of stretch in them. They don't fit low like teenage jeans....just below the waist. I am 5'11" and the regulars are long enough for me. I'm not sure if they have tall or not. I actually needed a pair (old ones too baggy, "new" old ones too tight) and found them on sale for $29.00! Good luck!

Believe it or not, but Wal-Mart has a good selection. Right now I am in between all the sizes of jeans I currently have at home and have been searching for new jeans. I've been going to all the expensive stores like Lane Bryant, but have not been able to find anything. On a whim, while at Wal-Mart the other day, I started looking for jeans. Side NSV here: all the plus size jeans were too big (yay), but then discovered the 'regular' section of jeans (the regular section have up to size 20, I think). They had all kinds of styles and colors and lengths and I was able to find 3 pairs that fit me perfectly. I wouldn't have believed it if someone else had told me this story, but they are nice jeans and, obviously, cheap since it's Wal-Mart. It's worth a shot :-) Good luck in the jean search!

My sister is tall (5'9") and she buys either Maurice's jeans or she gets Silver brand from ebay (cheaper used).

I am extremely loyal and only buy my jeans from American Eagle. They have a ton of different cuts and styles to choose from, they have a great size range, they come in short, regular and long, and a lot of them are made with stretchier fabric so they conform to your curves. They are amazing. My favorite style is the slim boot.

@ 5'10" tall, my go to brands are Silver, Parasuco, and the Rock 47 line by Wrangler. I can get all of those brands in lengths from 35"-37"

The Silver website is laid out quite well: you can search for jeans based on body type. Their "Suki" jean, despite being classified as a "curvy" fit, looks good on just about anyone.

American Eagle!!! The Boyfriend (if they still have them) and Original Bootcut are awesome. All have "stretch" to them and are SO comfortable. I'm 5'9 and the "Long" fit great. They are not skinny in the leg so shouldn't be a problem there, however they are NOT highwaisted jeans.

    Good luck!!!

I'm 5'8'', with big calves, small thighs, and not a whole lot of butt, with a bit of a belly, size 16. (Craziness I know.) I buy Z-cavarcci's from Torrid. Torrid carries sizes 12-26. They fit perfectly every time. They have just enough stretch, but are perfect because they don't cinch in two inches at the belly like other jeans, realizing that some women are biggest around their middles. Comfy, and decently priced.

I've had pretty good luck with Maurices Jeans (5'8 but 33 inseam). I hate the ones with stretch but once I hit goal I'll be back in my older, no-stretch Maurice's Jeans :)
