C25K and knee pain

I completed week 3 workout 3 of Run, Zombies last night with thorough stretching before and after. This morning when I woke up I had intense knee pain that tends to get better the more I walk on it, but get stiff again after a few minutes of sitting still. The pain is on the inside of my left knee, and is not 'horrible', but is quite unpleasant at first. I am not asking for medical advice just some input from other joggers/runners on what it may be.

Does it make any "noise" (popping)?0

Could be the IT band. Get a foam roller and massage the IT band thoroughly after every run.0

Really tough to say based on the limited information you provided. Might be time for new shoes.
Try the IT band relief mentioned above. If it persists, cut back on the program and go see a doctor.0 -
stretching before does nothing beneficial and it may injure you. Never ever stretch cold muscles. They can tear.
Warm up with a brisk 5 minute walk and stretch after0 -
Sounds like medial meniscus. Simple surgery to repair and about 2 weeks of recovery. Get it checked out or you can cause further irrepairable damage.0

Thanks for the replies everyone! Luckily, I am scheduled to see my Physical Therpist this afternoon. There is no popping noise when I move it, just stiffness. I apologize for being so vague. I am new to the world of exercise so I am not sure what other information would be helpful. Also, to clarify, I do a brief 3-7 minute walk prior to stretching0
