Hello guys and dolls!
I believe that anything is possible. I have a weight loss goal that is important to me. I do not have any children nor am I wed. However, I do know that I wish to have a healthy lifestyle for myself before I ever take vows or have children. About this time last year I first began going to a nutritionist. She had me keep a journal of my eating and exercise habits for about a month. I went back to her and we when through everything together. She showed me better ways of eating and since then I have changed my eating habits. Now, the only issue I have is finding and holding onto motivation to exercise consistently and effectively. I know that it can be done and I know that it WILL be done! God is good and He is faithful to those who believe in Him. By the way, since my first visit to teh nutritionist I have lost around 12 pounds or so. That is completely unacceptable! I should have lost more weight than that. I know I should exercise more. :noway:
I cannot magically take someone else's motivation and tarry on. I know that the motivation for my positive change lives deep, down inside of me. I ask that you say a prayer that it ACTIVATES and springs forth. I want to motivate others by my self-change.
We get one life, one body and one chance. I am ready!
May you all be blessed in your endeavors to change positively.

Hi Mini,
I am currently having the same type of issue with motivation. I am "shredding for the wedding" as well as hoping to gain a healthy NEW lifestyle with healthy eating and frequent exercise.
Here are some things that I do around the house to help me,
1 - I have a wedding dress picture hanging on my Fiance's snack cabinet and it says "Choose a healthier snack."
2 - I have fitness and motivational quotes (just Google that, and print your favorites) on my mirrors, fridge, etc.
3 - I also have my "goal bathing suit" actually HANGING UP on the side of my mirror so I know what reward I am working towards.
Also, maybe set a reminder on your cellphone as an alarm "time to work out" etc. Even if you do just 30 minutes a day! They say if you do something over 20 times it becomes a habit. So push yourself to work through that, and it should be easier.
GOOD LUCK!!!0 -
Hi there Jlayburn87!!
Thank you very much for the inspiration! I surely never thought of putting a reminder/alarm on my phone for my workouts. I think that is a great idea!
And having pictures of your wedding gown and encouraging words/quotes around your home I think is simply fantastic!
I think we will be alright. Congratulations on your coming marriage. That is a beautiful thing. And it is a blessing to love and be loved. All gifts are from God.
Let us get this journey rolling! Ha ha!
