Question about sugar?

My food diary says my daily sugar goal is 32. Well this morning I has a medium banana & a yoplait light yogurt & I am already at my limit. How can it be that theses 2 seemingly healthy foods take up my whole sugar intake in just the 1st few hours of the day?

I would tend to use that as a guideline. As long as you aren't intaking twice or three times that amount don't worry about it. Also, make sure that you are balancing sugar intake (sucrose and fructose) with fiber. I'm not a nutritionist but there are some good resources out there about sugars such as fructose (stay away from this as much as you can) and sucrose.

    My opinion of course =).
  • I changed my settings to only show me calories because I would get discouraged by that.

    Sugar from fruit is ok.

Sugar from other things you should watch - yoplait is known for their added sugar. Switch to greek yogurt and you'll save yourself a ton of sugar, not to mention add protein. Honestly eating the flavored yogurts is like having a pudding, not much nutritional value there.
