I am embarking on my lifting journey and strengthening my core and upper body. I need friends that are experienced lifters willing to give me guidance on my way. Any takers???? I am not a slacker, I don't make excuses, and I work hard. Doing my research and my first lifting session will be today!
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Touche!! I promise NOT to forget about my lower body. I do A LOT of squats, lunges and such, and my upper body is more of a focus because the strength isn't even lacking, its essentially non existent. But I will make it a point to find balance!0 -

^^ This. I'm doing New Rules now and really like it. I like heavy lifting, so I'm doing a hybrid with StrongLifts.

I'd never done barbell lifts except for bench press with incorrect form, and it's what I started with in January. Personally, I did SL over something like NROL4W because there were so many complaints that the later phases were confusing and difficult. In that sense, I find SL very straight forward and easy. But, everyone is probably different on what they consider "easy" or "beginner worthy".0 -
Don't forget this one! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/12707-all-pro-s-beginner-weight-lifting-routine
I started with this about a month ago.0 -
