Ok, so i am 21 and has been overweight since i was 10, i know i had been very careless in maintaining myself, but i had been happy being overweight and was comfortable with it..
Until now, when from past two years, my belly has started to look really weird, it's like splitted into two parts, Upper belly, that protrudes more forwards and lower belly, that hangs downwards, these two pics below are examples (that me only):
Earlier it used to be like one belly that used to protrude in a circular shape, now it looks like it's been pushed inside from where the belly button resides, so is it really abnormal??
BTW, i am 5'6 and weighs 88Kg..

That's normal toughest part of the belly to lose is towards the bottom half, top half will normally slim down first0

Have you lost weight? Is that bottom part hard or soft? I ask this because it kind of looks like when someone loses weight and they have excess skin hanging. Sort of like the 'tongue' in the movie Click.0

no, i have'nt tried to lose weight from a very long time now, last time was 1.5yrs ago, when i started to play some sports and lost a lot of fat from upper belly, but as CFRC8780 said, lower belly fat did'nt even moved an inch, that de-motivated me and i regained all my upper belly fat that i lost in 3 months..
and yes, the excess skin hanging is soft, it's like a plastic bag filled with fluid, actually my whole belly has never been "hard" type of fat, it was always very squishy, soft and wobbly, and still is..0 -
Nope, totally normal. I have it too.0

I have 2 bellies too I use to have a third flap it was really gross. Losing weight is the main solution. Top half will go first.0

ok, i'll take that into account, btw can you predict how much time could it take for the whole package to be slimmed down..
and i am really afraid that the belly hanging down might not go ever in life, somebody told me that you can't completely vanish it, and the skin would become very mushy and saggy in that area...0 -

I think it's probably fine and you just need to work hard and it'll go away. If it was hard then I might be concerned, but soft sounds normal. It probably started to hang because of that weight you lost and gained back. You can do it! I believe in you! Feel free to add me if you want.0 -
I've seen that type of belly a lot on my friends. It happens to them because they wear jeans that are too small and they have a muffin top. If the crease between the two bellies is where your waistband sits, that might be a part of the problem.0

How long it takes is up to you. You're still young, and if you have decent skin most of it should stretch back. Eat less, exercise more. Cardio to lose the fat and lots of strength training and weight lifting to tighten up and gain some muscle. It will definitely look better with time if you do those things but it depends how much effort you put into it!0 -
I have that two. The top I call my muffin top. It us there because my pants are to tight. Then ithe bottom I call my front butt and it flaps over.
However, I am proud to say there are starting to go away with hard work.0 -
Your belly looks like what I had after I had a c-section with my 2nd child.
With a calorie deficit and exercise, you will reduce that. Trust me.. I had a similar belly and now it's almost flat.. I never thought it would ever happen to me but with patience and hard work, it's almost gone.0 -
thanks all for the help, i will now start working on it, and hope for a good result..0

You're not alone in this, i joined here because i noticed fat on my upper belly and it was bothering me til finally i decided to so something about itm if you have a lot to burn a good cardio routine and a calorie deficit will help kickstart your weightloss but as you gradually loose that weight many on here would recommend some form of strength training to start to tone up your body, i myself did not really know where to start with the weight training so i ended up going to kickboxing and kettlebell classes which incorporate a certain amount of it but there is a good lot of books out there and a lot of advice on this site, but you don't haver to over complicate things, do what you feel is right - i found joining a exercise class really helped me to stay accountable because it can be tough at the beginning, julian michaels does some really good workout dvd too.
Best of luck with your weight loss, it is not easy but it can be achieved, stay positive.0
