I would like some opinions...

Well, I weigh myself today and it seems I've gained two pounds in a week, last Monday I weigh 174 today I weigh 177. My goal was to weigh 173-2 but sadly didn't happen. I think I know why. I ate over my calories and kinda bad.

I've decided to make it up by working out hard core this week and eating better than last week :-)

I'd like to burn 3600 calories this week, so I would eat 1360 calories + some calories back. Do you guys think this would boost my weight loss. I'm just tired of being a fatty.

Thanks :-)

No. I don't think it will. In fact, I think it will backfire on you.

I will recommend you not try and make up for last week. But if you overate there's a reason for it. You must find out what those reasons are and make a plan for overcoming them.

If you have a reasonable calorie target you'll be less likely to feel deprived. If you set your goal (just to start) at "lose 1/2 lb per week" and stick to the calorie target you get, you'll slowly ease into the cuts and changes necessary to bring your body into the right energy balance. If you try and cut too deeply you may just eat over again. Accept that what is done is done, but you can change tomorrow.

Set your MFP goal to lose 1/2 a pound this week.
Eat for 7 days at that target amount.
Weigh and measure all your foods; use the right brands from the MFP database.
Log every bite, dip, and lick.

Over time you'll find the more protein, fiber and fat you eat the more full you'll feel. Don't eat fat-free/sugar-free/100-calorie-pack/lite/diet/non-foods. Just eat real food. Aim for 120g protein daily within your calorie goal. Drink plenty of water. Add veggies to every meal to feel more satisfied. Treat yourself to whatever you want but make it fit your calorie goal.

Once you've done a few weeks like that and feel ready to cut further, change your goal to 1 lb/week.

If you aim to burn 3600 calories in a week, know that you will probably have to eat them all back to fuel the activity and keep your body losing fat. You could also end up burning the lean mass that continues to burn the calories for you. You don't want to do that.

You are right!! Maybe I have been worried about how few calories I get to eat and end up over eating!
