Hi All

Hi

Been here for about a month and love the fact that I can track what I eat. My weight loss is going much slower than I thought, but I know that is because I am also doing strength training at the same time. So I can see a difference, but the scale does not feel it. LOL. Anyhow, I'm around add me as friend if you want.

God Bless

Angie:smile:

I have been doing this in earnest since the first of the year. I too have had my weight loss be a bit disappointing. I try to mix up what I am doing all the time and one of the things I do is a barbell strength class at my gym which is basically a ton of reps for all different parts of your body over an hours time. Love, Love the class.

I lost 6 lbs the first month, 1 the second and so far 1 in March. The first 2 months I was only doing cardio; the elliptical machine until it read that I had burned 600 calories. The second 2 months I added the barbell class, Zumba and ballet fusion which is tiny movements that fatigue individual muscles and strengthen my core. Whew, do I need that. I have zero abdominal strength and my balance is awful. I go to the gym about 5 days a week. We are also a big skiing family so I've done quite a bit of that though the lights will go out on the ski season here in about 3 weeks.

The scale is not cooperating as much as I'd like, but I too can tell the difference in my body and after 3 months of doing regular workouts, I actually look forward to them and get cranky when life's obligations get in the way of me going for my exercise. I'd rather weigh more, have more muscle and be leaner and stronger than have the scale show a smaller number if I had to choose between the two. I am hoping there will be a tipping point where I will have enough muscle that it will burn more calories all the time and the weight part will follow.

I'll send you a friend request, add me if you'd like : )
