Remember diets end! This is a change of lifestyle! You will have birthday cake again... Plan for it though and make yourself successful because you own and win your decisions. You will have Thanksgiving each year. Plan for it and make it something you are thankful for afterward. Anyone is welcome to add me. I'm down 144 since July 1st and have a bit less than 70 pounds to go to goal!0

Your friends are right...don't beat yourself up and also don't use it as an excuse to give up. We all have "those days". And if this is your 3rd time here it must mean you really are ready to tackle this challenge. So if you have a bad day, so what? Move on and get back to it...then as time goes by you'll see improvements that keep you motivated. If you have cravings you just can't ignore, go ahead and take care of them, just eat a smaller amount than before. You'll end up being satisfied quicker.
Good luck and welcome back!0 -
It's a lifestyle change. Not a diet. I spent the weekend at a friends house, who cooks heavy, high fat foods. I eat it, and yes--enjoy each bite, but small portions. Then when I come home, I eat my fantastic salads and low fats meals that I also truly enjoy. I've battled with my weight my whole life and it's been a source of depression for me. This year, I knew, This is the year to make a change. I started on Spark People and lost 10 pounds there and heard about MFP. And have lost 10 here. I have 35 to go and I know, although it may be slow to get there, I will get there. AND YOU CAN TOO!!
BEST WISHES TO YOU AND HANG TOUGH!!!0 -
diets dont seem to do well with me so i am trying to slowly make changes here and there cut some stuff out and add better food choices. i see my self as a "fit fat girl" as i tell my friends (lol) if that makes sense.... i am going all day at work and live at the beach and stay active for the most part but i have very hard time dropping the pounds and have to remember muscles weigh alot. im on day 3 of working out. 20 min on my lunch brake and 25-30 after work for now. my body is screaming at me but i pushed through it today and it was a tough one!!!0
