BF% accuracy

So my gym uses the Tanita Scale for BF% and other measurements. Today the guy asked me Standard or Athletic? I had no idea which one, so we did both. The difference in my BF% was significant
Standard - 35%
Athletic 27%
So with this deduction, I know that I'm used to using the Standard option, because I've been hovering around 35% for a bit.
My question though is: should I be using the Athletic? The gym guy said it was for people who exercised about 3x/week, and I definitely do that.
Just wondering if my BF% is a lot lower than I thought
haha
Thanks!
