Hey All! ^^
Just have a query. I got back from a holiday to America on March 5th. I gained almost a stone in a month out there. AWFUL I know. I gained unhealthy eating routines there. I have been on a diet since the day I landed. My sister has been given me a healthy low cal eating plan to lose the weight. And I can proudly say I have lost 13 pounds since! It's given me a real insight to eating healhily again and making the right choices; and when my body knows its full etc.
Now - I had my first cheat day yesterday as it was a huge family gathering and easter celebrations etc. I went a bit overboard obviously with excitement to eating whatever. Scales say I have gained 5 pounds ha. Lets hope this is water/food weight?!
I just need advice - WHILST dieting is it a bad idea to have a 'cheat' day?
And when I reach my goal weight (another 7 pounds) is it good to have a cheat day?
Thanks all! x

99% of it is water weight, don't worry about it. To gain one pound of fat you need to eat 3500 kcals over your TDEE.0

You have a calorie goal of 800.... That is NOT healthy0 -
You know the answer to the question already because of the title you wrote...also what others have said, why set your daily calorie total to 800 cals then, unless you want your metabolism to slow right the frell down? Are you serious? And you don't record everything....um how do you keep track of your progress then? Guess? Hope for the best?
This post is more than slightly worrying.0 -
Your goal of 800 kcal is the problem.0

Your goal of 800 kcal is the problem.
It obviously isn't seeing as I have lost a stone in a month.
& I know how to maintain.. seeing as this was the first time i've put on weight in about 4 years.0 -

Then why are you asking for advice? You obviously have all the answers already.0 -
Why bother bashing her if you're not even going to contribute to the topic of the thread. Yes its fine to have a cheat day, that way you won't feel deprived and binge on junk food. But please, if you have a problem with her diary then don't look at it. There's no need to tell her how wrong she is because you don't like her diary settings, regardless of what she says about it. Like no matter how many calories she actually eats in a day, she's automatically going to be wrong in your eyes because her goal is set to 800. chill out.0
