I ordered the first two i ever bought with my own money from one of those cd sales scams. They were AC/DC's Back in Black and Metallica the Black album. They came on the same day.
Greatest albums of all time, which I didn't know. I only ordered them because Bevis and Butthead had Metallica and AC/DC on their shirts. I thought that black was cool, so the albums must have been too.0

The Rolling Stones "Aftermath" album in 1966. I was rocking to the Stones when most of America was "bopping" to the Beatles. Look who is still Rockin' today!!! 50 years and still getting it done. Slowed down a bit, but they can still can still do the down and nasty R&B and great rock guitar licks.
Oh...and I remember my first 8-track was Queen sometime in 1976. No fond memories at all of 8-tracks except for when quadrophonic sound came out and we had to get new 8-track players to hear Quadrophenia from The Who.0

Honestly, I can't remember the first album I ever purchased. I do remember the first album that I received for a gift that I loved so much it didn't leave my AM/FM Cassette Walkman for 3 months. I was 10 - Christmas of 1980, my older brother gave me Rush 2112. I was 10, and I GOT IT. LOL Been my favorite band ever since. Been my favorite band ever since.
First CD I ever bought was Scorpions, Rock You Like a Hurricane. Kicked butt then, still kicks butt now. Love the Scorps. 0 0

The first album I ever got was a Christmas present from my older brother. It was Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Well, that really ages me, but the album itself is ageless. 0 0
