KISS Alive II was my first album.

I have it on CD now.

Me too. I'm still listening to this album 35 years later. And it's still good, too!

The first CD I ever bought was Nirvana's "Nevermind"

Which sounds way cooler then the first album I bought, which was possibly something by Iron Maiden.

Honestly, I can't remember the first album I ever purchased. I do remember the first album that I received for a gift that I loved so much it didn't leave my AM/FM Cassette Walkman for 3 months. I was 10 - Christmas of 1980, my older brother gave me Rush 2112. I was 10, and I GOT IT. LOL :) Been my favorite band ever since.

First CD I ever bought was Scorpions, Rock You Like a Hurricane. Kicked butt then, still kicks butt now. Love the Scorps. :)

The first album I ever got was a Christmas present from my older brother. It was Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Well, that really ages me, but the album itself is ageless. :)

Given - Michael Jacksons "Thriller" on vinyl
With my own money - Mike Oldfields "Tubular Bells II" on cassette.

as a point of trivia, the first CD I bought was the same as the first cassette. The first DVD I ever bought was also the same...
