Why does my weight vary so much?

Before I start I don't weigh myself EVERYDAY, just so happens that I have done these past few days and its REALLY annoyed me.

So, yesterday morning I weighed 10st, fantastic! Today I get on the scale - 10st 5lbs!

Why is my weight varying so much? Surely my weight shouldn't change so much!

Consuming a lot of sodium makes you retain extra water = you weigh more.

Taking a shower before weighing yourself means your skin absorbs some water = you weigh more.

Not pooping means you have some excess 'stuff' inside of you = you weigh more.

Having your menses means you retain water = you weigh more.

    It's just water.

I've really started watching my sodium intake. It has helped stop the drastic weight fluctuations. I also weigh myself at the same time every morning because my weight varies at different times of the day. I weigh every day but only log my weight once a week. I try to keep my sodium at half the amount MFP allows me.
