May seem small to most of you but I felt I really achieved something yesterday and wanted to share.
I am a serial binge eater and have recently put a ton of weight in a very short period of time through stuffing my face until I feel sick. I am trying to get back on track and take control.
So, yesterday, I was offered a hot cross bun with butter and jam and i said no and stuck to it when asked again (so annoying!) then i managed to sit in a room full of everyone (but me) eating yummy hot cross buns. I then managed to say no to chocolate. I have annoyingly received lots of easter eggs/chocolate and it is all still sitting here in it's packaging unopened!! .... last week i would of eat the lot in the one go.
Today, i have been invited out for easter sunday lunch.... this scares me as i know where we are going and i know they do my favourite sticky toffee pudding and everyone is having 3 courses!!! How can i sit there and watch the others eat 3 courses one of which is my fav pudding!! .... I know then it will be followed my chocolate easter eggs. However once i start i cant stop. I have to try and stay strong.

I had a hot cross bun with butter and Vegemite for lunch, it was so good, and there's 3 more left...
Maybe you can share the pudding with someone? And do your best to skip the eggs since you already got your pudding. Stay strong! You can do it!0 -
I can't say I completely understand what you are going through but I hear the agony and feeling of defeat. You could practice internal dialogue when you are not feeling this pressure or maybe it would be better for you when you feel the pressure (only you know best). i.e. things such as why do I feel this way, what can I do to change it, how will it make my life better to change it, etc.
We all have our internal dialogue going on all the time and only we can direct it they way we want it to go. It takes practice but you can do it.......... Stay Strong!!!!!!0 -
Your actions yesterday prove you do have the willpower to say NO! Stick with this thinking and you'll survive. Just eat the 3 course meal (small portions) and then resist any extras. How about donating the eggs you've been given to a homeless charity or local children's hospital?
Be strong, you can resist :flowerforyou:0 -
I managed it ... melon then chicken with veg (no potatoes or pudding) . Have had loads more chocolate given me , just had a mini egg x0

Good for you JD, I'd still consider donating any choc eggs though, then you don't have to munch through them all.0
