Changing Calories

Hi all!

I was hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. If MFP gives you set calories, say 1780, do you stick with that or do you switch it up from day to day? Ive looked at some diary's and noticed different goals for the day. Is it better to stick with the MFP goal or input your own?

Thanks!

If MFP gives you 1780 and you do exercise that burns X amount of calories and log it, it gets added to your total, because MFP is set up so you eat back calories...
That's why it differs everyday for most people who exercise and log it....

If doing it that way is cofusing then calculate your BMR and TDEE and you never eat back your exercise calories so your daily intake stays the same. I do it that way because I prefer the same number every day - I am a creature of routine.

Thank you! How long did it take you to loose 73 lbs? That is amazing!

MFP gives me a number that is too low for me to sustain weight loss on, so I manually change it every time it auto calibrates. Then, the only changes I fuss with are the ones (like a previous poster said) that come from my exercise.
