    I have friends who are allergic to cats and thus don't like them. I can't imagine my life without them, though.

    My exhusband was a dog person and didn't like cats until I forced all three of mine into his house. He now likes them.

    But it's okay to not like cats. Some people are dog people. Or bird people. Or fish people. Pets in general are good for people.
