Rest days

I had my programme change today which included a lot mote weights the personal trainer told me take a rest day after doing this but I forgot to ask if it was ok for me to do just cardio on the rest days as I have a young child and sometime I can only get to the gym 3 days in a row and not separated days. Des anyone know if its ok to do that?

    yes! its perfectly ok to do this, just try to give your body a rest at least one day a week. i have 2 set every week where i only do abs and cardio.
