If anyone has any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Oh and by the way I am a really big guy(340) how concerned should i be with muscle loss. I usually keep my cals about 3000. Thanks again

Without resistance training, you're probably going to lose some muscle mass until you can start lifting again. It's unfortunate, but when you do start lifting again, you're likely to get some of that "newbie gains" which could be self-motivating and provide you with good momentum to get back to where you were at, prior to your injury.
Regarding cardio, you may want to have several cardio days that are HIIT intensive, so that you can burn bodyfat. Can you do mountain climbers, jumping jacks, burpees, etc. those kinds of activities? Or is it primarily just cardio machines?0 -
pretty much stuck with machines im going to ask doc if i could do bodyweight squats is that enough resistance to maintain some muscle?0

How much were you squatting before the injury? If it was a few hundred pounds, then bodyweight squats might not be sufficient to maintain all the muscle. But it's better than nothing.
If you can do bodyweight squats, then maybe ask your doctor if you can acquire a weighted vest for bodyweight squats? That might be of some help!0 -
